About this journal

I'm happy you decided to take a look around my journal and see what I have here!

This is a fannish journal about the Magnificent Seven, a western show no longer with us (alas!) Since there are plenty of journals that cover fanfic or icon making, I thought it would be nice if I could showcase my wallpapers and collages. I'm an Ezra girl so most are about him, but I'm working on branching out to other boys.

In case you would like to hear a bit about me, I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I'm a translator/interpreter, and I teach English as a foreign language. I'm interested in a lot of things, from anthropology, to space science and zoology. In addition to making wallpapers, collages and web banners, I enjoy reading, drawing and calligraphy.

I hope you'll enjoy my wallpapers as much as I enjoyed making them. Best regards!

Wallpaper sharing

I've decided to offer my wallpapers under a Creative Commons license. I'm doing this because many people have asked me whether it's OK to download my wallpapers. My response to them has always been, Yes, you can, and in addition to using them as desktop wallpapers, you can also use parts of them (i.e. an image I used to make the final collage) to make your own graphics as long as you credit me as a source.

I myself have used come from the work of others: a TV show made by writers, producers and actors. In most cases I used screencaps made using my own purchased DVDs, or screencaps offered freely by other Magnificent Seven fans. It is only fair that you use these images in the same way, crediting the original creators, and those who made a derivative work based on the original.

Creative Commons License
This work by dj_aida is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License.

As stated on the Creative Commons page for the license I chose: This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms. Others can download and redistribute your work just like the by-nc-nd license, but they can also translate, make remixes, and produce new stories based on your work. All new work based on yours will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also be non-commercial in nature.

Favorite...

...music

I listen to a wide variety of music genres; whatever I happen to like at the moment. I mostly get caught up with the music first, and then the lyrics, but once I connect the two, the song usually stays with me always.

...films

Like with music, I like a variety of movie genres – everything from historic movies, through science fiction, to westerns. I also love a good action and/or psychological thriller, but I don’t shy away from fantasy or horror movies either.

...tv-shows

My favorite is obviously, The Magnificent Seven, but my taste is eclectic in this case too. I love cop shows, and firmly believe that Homicide: Life on the Street is the best in its genre. With TV shows I mostly lean to sci-fi, evidenced by my love towards The Invisible Man and all incarnations of Star Trek.

...ships

I don’t have many ships; the closest to what I could call my “favorite ship” would be Darien/Allianora from The Invisible Man (and I’d probably be crucified in the I-Man fandom since “Aquamama” is universally despised, but I like her.) I’m not into slash, especially not in the Mag7 fandom because I view the boys more like friends and brothers (I seem to be in the minority, but that’s OK).

...etc

And it’s OK because Mag7 is the nicest fandom I’ve ever been a part of. Even with the enormous number of AUs, OTPs and character preferences, nobody ever talked down to me because of my liking (or not liking) something in the fandom. We all have our favorites, but love all of the boys as well, and we can talk about their faults and virtues for hours on end. I love that feeling of togetherness!
